Education and Qualifications

• Holder of Bachelor degree with not less than a 3.5 GPA and Masters Degree in an area of Environmental Education from any University recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities.
• Be appointed from a list of candidates of higher academic standing with credentials eligible for categorization as Chief Tutor II or Chief Tutor I for technical institutions offering NTA level 6 and below
• Be a person with outstanding academic, research, and administrative experience in the area of technical education and training in the field related to the institution and be eligible for registration/registered as a technical teacher.

Knowledge

• An educationalist who understands how to recognize and develop quality teaching and learning.
• A global citizen who truly understands the benefits and importance of international education.
• He or She must have improvement strategies for the institution and how to tackle underperformance in different contexts and at all levels through monitoring and evaluation.
• Principles and practice of quality assurance systems including institution self-evaluation and performance management.
• Clear understanding of the importance of appropriate communication with the parents, senior management and the Board.

Skills and Ability

• A confident and genuine communicator who can instill trust among the institution and parent body.
• Articulate and approachable with excellent interpersonal skills both verbally and in writing.
• To be solution-focused and have proven sound decision-making skills.
• To be proactive, and versatile, with a high level of drive, energy, enthusiasm, resilience, and a sense of perspective.
• Ability to motivate a whole institution's culture of attainment through effective and collaborative team working.
• Ability to demonstrate commitment, reliability, and integrity.
• Approachable and open with staff, students, and parents, with demonstrable emotional intelligence.

 Experience Essential

• Previous experience of a minimum of 3 years as a Principal of any academic institution.
