The Institute is inviting applications from suitably qualified professionals to fill the position of Principal which is currently Vacant.

Education and Qualifications

• Holder of a Bachelor's degree of at least lower second and a Master’s Degree in an area of Environmental Education, Environmental Management, or related fields from any University recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities.

• Have a higher academic standing with credentials eligible for categorization as Chief Tutor II or Chief Tutor I for technical institutions offering NTA level 6 and below

• Be a person with outstanding academic, research, and administrative experience in the area of technical education and training in the related fields and preferably be eligible for registration/registered as a technical teacher.

  Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  ● An educationalist who understands how to recognize and develop quality teaching and learning.

  ● S/he must have knowledge of strategies to tackle underperformance in different contexts and at all levels through monitoring and evaluation and support talent identification and enhancement
  ● Principles and practices of quality assurance systems including institutional self-evaluation and performance management.

  ● Clear understanding of the importance of appropriate communication with students, clients, service providers, partners, supporters, parents, senior management, and the Board.

  ● To be proactive, and versatile, with a high level of drive, energy, enthusiasm, resilience, and a sense of perspective.
  ● Ability to demonstrate commitment, reliability, and integrity.
  ● To be solution-focused and have proven sound decision-making skills.

Experience

● Previous experience of a minimum 3 years of teaching including being a member of the senior management staff or similar undertaking of any academic institution.

Salary, Remunerations, and other benefits

Highly competitive salary, within the private sector salary scale approved by the government. Frequent paid travels on duty within and outside the country; paid leave; and other benefits. The salary and all other benefits will be negotiated and concluded based on the required qualifications.
